31st Annual Island Summer Shootout Basketball Tournament
WHEN: Saturday, May 25, and Sunday, May 26, 2024
WHERE: This year the tournament will again be held at the Spectrum Secondary School Old and New Gyms (957 Burnside Road West). Our second gym facility with three full-sized courts will be Belmont Secondary School (3041 Langford Lake Road).
DIVISIONS:
U13– for school teams or club teams with players in grade 7 or younger
U15 – for high-school teams or club teams with players in grade 9 or younger
U17– for high-school teams and club teams with players in grade 11 or younger
The tournament format will be determined based upon the number of teams registered to play in each division (U13, U15 and U17).
Cost Information
COST: $495 entry fee for all teams – all teams are guaranteed to play FOUR GAMES; fees will be discounted $25 per team for second team and more

NOTE: Teams can also choose to play THREE games in one day with a registration fee of $375 per team.
-NOTE: All Lower Mainland clubs from outside Vancouver Island are eligible for a reduced fee if they register three teams from their club to play in this tournament. Contact the tournament host for details relating to this possible opportunity.
OFFICIALS AND RULES
Officials will be provided through the Victoria Basketball Officials Association – games will be two 16-minute stop-time halves; we will use 24-second shot clocks whenever possible

With the current gym facilities, we have room for up to 30 teams to play in this tournament. Entry in the tournament will be confirmed on a first-come / first-registered basis. We hope you will want to visit our city at a great time of the year for tourists and play some top-flight basketball while you are here.
A concession will be available in the main gym during the tournament and there will be an admission charge each day of $5 for adults and $2 for students with children under 10 years old admitted free.
The earlier teams arrive in Victoria ready to play, the easier it is to schedule teams to play their four games against a variety of opponents. The later your arrival time, the more difficult scheduling becomes.

27th Annual Canadian Summer Tipoff Basketball Tournament
WHEN: Saturday, June 15, and Sunday, June 16, 2024
This tournament is organized to offer boys and girls club teams from North and South of the border a way to start their summer playing tours and to work out the bugs before they face the watchful eyes of college recruiters in July and August.
Great competition, great tourist opportunities and great prices, we want to make sure your trip to scenic Vancouver Island is a memorable one. This tournament is offered in addition to our annual Island Shootout Tournament hosted in late May.

OPEN WOMEN – any team wishing to play at the higher level, including players who have completed high-school eligibility with Canadian university, college and alumni players participating
