FAB 50 GIRLS

FAB 50 GIRLS CAMP INVITATION

This invitational camp will include the top 80-150 female elementary, middle, junior and senior high-school players based upon performances during the present school basketball season.  Last year’s camp had 135 girls in grades 6-11 register to attend.  The organizers hope this camp will provide an opportunity for the Vancouver Island region’s best players to come together in a competitive learning atmosphere to improve their basketball skills on the court and to make new friends off the court.  This camp is intended only for serious players who are looking for a challenge to develop their skills through a competitive camp situation.

What we offer

During this weekend camp, we will offer you the following:

  • Special guest instructor presentations from several of B. C.’s top university coaches, including Simon Fraser University head coach Bruce Langford, former Thompson Rivers University head coach Scott Reeves, former Alberta U17 girls coach John Dedrick and VIU women’s head coach Tony Bryce
  • 14 hours of camp instruction from the region’s top junior and senior high-school coaches with the camp running 9:00-12:00 noon and 1:30-5:30 p. m. both days
  • Camp T-shirt and Camp Training Booklet
  • Special Camp Awards, Competitions and Select Team Selections
  • Drills will involve all players together while competitions will be grouped by age with two separate divisions: YOUTH (grades 5-8) and HIGH SCHOOL (grades 9-11)

I wanted to say 'thank you' for the amazing camp you presented this past weekend.

Thank you for this opportunity.  My daughter loved the FAB 50 Camp this weekend.

Thank you for a great weekend with the FAB 50 Basketball Camp. My daughter was sure tired, but she loved it!

The SVIBA FAB Camp this weekend was awesome; run very well and my daughter had a lot of fun.

Thanks for the opportunity and thanks for organizing and running the FAB 50 Camp this weekend. She had such a great time!!

First of all, thank you for an awesome camp this weekend.  My daughter really enjoyed it and has been talking about it nonstop since she got home!  It is great to see her so enthusiastic.

I'd like to thank you for an excellent weekend of basketball for my girl. She had the time of her life and will definitely be attending the FAB 50 again next year.

Again, you pulled off another fantastic experience for the kids here on the South Island!

Many thanks for a great camp over the weekend!  My daughter had a great time and found it very challenging pushing herself out of her comfort zone.  She took a lot out of it.

Thank you so much for such a fantastic weekend! My daughter came home tired but SO excited to have learned so much!

Thank you for a great camp.  My daughter really enjoyed the camp and learned a lot.  I think it was challenging and stretched her comfort level.  The University level coaches as well as your coach volunteers gave excellent feedback and instruction.  I appreciate your support for young women’s basketball.

Thank you for putting together a well-organized camp for all the kids this weekend.

First of all I'd like to say that this weekend was outstanding.  My daughter came home tired and inspired.  I see the sparkle in her eyes again.  Thank you so much!

outstanding basketball

We are looking forward to another excellent camp this year and another outstanding basketball weekend.  In previous years, SVIBA Girls Select Teams played in tournaments in Victoria, Burnaby, Courtenay and Oregon City and the Juvenile team made a tour of Australia and the plan this summer will not be any different.  We are currently working to confirm our summer playing schedules.  We once again plan to offer girls select teams at the following levels:  JUVENILE (grades 9-11), FUTURES (grades 9-11), MIDGET (grade 8), DEVELOPMENT (grade 7-8) and YOUTH (grades 6-7); these age groupings may change depending upon the number of girls registered for the camp at each age level.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or if you need any additional information.  We hope you will decide to participate in the camp and we look forward to hearing from you in the near future to confirm your participation.  Remember, the best basketball players are developed during the spring and the summer each year when everybody else is hanging out doing nothing to improve their basketball skills, working or playing another sport; how do you want to play during the next basketball season?

Make the decision to be a better player and register to attend the FAB 50 Camp and to play with the SVIBA summer select team program this season!

Yours in Basketball,

Brett Westcott
